Beaumonde + Sunfest: How our 360° Photo Got 100,000 Views (Case Study)

In 2019, more people will see immersive media and 360° content on web & social than ever before. Read on to learn how Beaumonde used this 360° photo to generate over 100k views across web & social with an average web CTR of 1.75%.

The Opportunity

With Dix Park’s SunFest right around the corner, our content team hit Raleigh’s sunflower fields to create a piece of 360° content that could go viral locally.

The Content

We kept things simple and gave blog readers a 360° look at the sunflower fields where the festival would be held.

We used minimalist text overlays to add context and let our awesome 360° photography do the talking.

The Release

Several local influencers shared our 360° photo via blog posts & social media feeds, highlighting the upcoming festival with our immersive virtual content. Check out the 360 below!

In the 72 hours leading up to the event, 37.8% of clicks were a specific ticket purchase action.

On the day of the event, there were 50 clicks on the ticket purchase hotspot.

  • Peak daily clicks: 231

Social Results

We took to Facebook to promote Sunfest by sharing our 360° sunflower photo. See some of the results below.

Statistics:

  • Reach: 13,281

  • Total Engagements: 1,546

  • Likes, Comments, Shares: 471

  • Post Clicks: 1,075

  • Engagement rate: 11.6%

A significant amount of engagements were earned via shares. 96% of post likes and 80% of comments were organically earned. Over 100 friends were tagged in our post.

Google Street View

Our team is Google Street View Trusted.

We added the 360° photo to Google Street View so that this content could be activated in an organic search context. In the week leading up to SunFest, this photo was viewed thousands of times by people actively searching for Raleigh’s sunflower fields.
